“Dawn”

Diptych Painting from the “Mathematical Abstraction” series

11x14”

Acrylic paint, interior paint, oil pastels on wood panel

The “Mathematical Abstraction” series which includes “Dawn”, pictured below, is inspired by the architectural fractals often found in African village structures in countries such as Zambia and Mali. It also celebrates indigenous creativity and mathematical ability. Each painting in this series is finished with a black line running through the composition, alluding to said fractals. The lines also symbolize how we are all connected.
